The key to peace with God starts with a relationship
with God - with Jesus. This relationship is not a quick
one-time transaction and then forgotten, but a permanent
fully interactive relationship.
Peace with God continues with admitting that we have
sinned. Sin is ignoring God's love for us, hating God,
hurting God, breaking God's law, ignoring people's love
for us, hating people, hurting people, breaking people's
laws.

Peace with God admits that we need a savior, to wash our
sins, to cleanse us.

This savior is Jesus. God has provided a perfect way to
cover and forget our sins by and through Jesus, our
savior. Because He is perfect, by clinging to Him, His
sinless life covers our sinful life.

Peace with God is activated by a simple prayer to God
Almighty.
God, I am sorry that I have sinned against you and
others.
I want Jesus to annul my sin, and take it away.
I want to turn away from my sin, through Your help.
I want a never ending relationship with You.
I need Your continued, everyday guidance and input for my life.
I want to grow in my knowledge and understanding of You.
I want to learn to love You and respect You.
Then you will have peace with God. Then you will be a child of God, a citizen of Heaven.
John Bunyan, in the 17th century, compared God’s gift of hope and life to the drudgery of religious law in this way:
"Run, run the law commands, but gives me neither feet nor hands.
‘Tis better news the gospel brings. It bids me fly, it gives me wings."
