Unlike popular thought which holds that people are
improving, God finds that people are totally in error
because they do not pay attention to Him, do not honor
Him, do not obey Him, the God who created us and the God
who holds our life in His hands.
Daily papers and news reports tell us over and over
again the greed, the hate, the slander, the murder, the
disrespect, the selfishness in all people everywhere.
Except for the one who is totally sinless kind generous
and loving, the one Jesus
the Christ the Lord, except for Him, there is not a person who
has not planned hurtful actions and carried them out.
Everyone everywhere has broken God's wonderful
creation in us
because we sin against God Almighty.
We are all selfish hateful people, as God sees it,
and if we are honest, we can admit to the truth of this
deep persistent sinful condition in ourselves. Our souls
are totally corrupted.
Since we are in God's hands all the time everywhere, and since
we sin against God, God has determined that everyone
everywhere shall face death and shall die a mortal
physical death.
However, if during this life we are willing to
acknowledge to God that we are hateful and selfish
toward God, and then if we accept Jesus Christ the
Lord's covering upon us, and if we begin to obey Jesus
Christ the Lord by turning away from a sinful life, then
we are saved from the "second death" which is death from
heaven, and "second death that keeps us in agony", this
"second death" will pass us by and we shall not
encounter the "second death", and we are not condemned,
but we shall be given citizenship in heaven with the
living mighty eternal loving kind generous God. Our sins
will be "totally forgotten" by God, in this case; His
wondrous love floods our life, and we are children of
God.
Yet, if we ignore God throughout our life, if we do
not obey God by confessing our sins to Jesus, and
repenting of our sins before Jesus, and obeying Jesus
for the remainder of days here on this earth, then we
have no fear of God, and upon death, we shall be in
agony, in pain, in darkness, in aloneness, and we shall
face God once on Judgment Day, and we shall then obtain
the "second death", which is continued agony, continued
pain, continued darkness, and continued aloneness
forever.
